Daily Gratitude Year 10-Day 350: Today, I am grateful for The Blood and The Word.
The battle of good versus evil has been going on since the beginning. Evil tempted. Pride caused the fall. But, God didn't give up.
Frankly, I am not sure why not. The beloved creation has cost Him so much.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." John 1:1-5
He was in the beginning, with God. The one who was there at creation submitted to a womb, a human birth, a humble home, being rejected, bullied, beaten nearly to death before they crucified Him on that old rugged cross. How do we really grasp the idea or the suffering? Those choices purchased our sin debt, paid it in full and opened the doors of heaven.
For those who look, seek, find and choose New Life, there is no fear in the book of Revelation... only, mystery, hope and wonder! When you know what you know is true, there is peace.
"And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die." -Revelation 12:11
No God, no peace. Know God, know peace. In faith is the victory.
Today, I am grateful for The Blood and The Word.
