Daily Gratitude Year 12 - Day 279: Today, I am grateful for the amber waves of grain.
It was a great day to head back home to the farm for an afternoon in the combine. I must say, "buddy seats" have come a long way since I was little. It was a quick trip over and back, but so worth it.
There is something about harvest that is absolutely captivating. Spring is a time for hope. Harvest is a season for celebrating the blessing of another year and another crop. The sights, the sounds, the smells, and so much more. Time flew by so quickly.
“When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands." -Deuteronomy 24:19
We do not take the blessings of the dirt for granted.
Today, I am grateful for the amber waves of grain.
