"Sit with animals quietly and they will show you their hearts. Sit with them kindly and they will help you locate yours." -Ramblings of Claury
There is great truth in that observation. I always wanted a horse as a child. Dad always said, "No." They required time and a dedicated space. They needed and deserved companionship.
We started watching the series, "Heartland" when we were in Florida one summer for Monte's funeral and to spend time with family there. We learned quite a bit about horses from watching the series. Dad was right about the high cost of keepings the beautiful and majestic creatures. The show supports the idea that animals can help us heal.
"And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good." - Genesis 1:25
Good in so many ways.
Today, I am grateful animals help us heal.
