Daily Gratitude Year 13 - Day 253: Today, I am grateful for the seasons.
There is something about the changing seasons that is special.
I love an island and blue waters, but there is something about the changing seasons that recharges my soul. With each new season comes special moments. Yes, even winter, which is not my favorite, has the holidays, snow days, and a time to read, rest and restore.
This week, our local fall festival will bring many visitors. For us, it is the true end of summer weather. We can see temperatures range from 40 to 85 degrees. You never know what you are going to get. Every hour can be a change.
I am grateful for a God who is with us in all of the seasons. His eyes, His hands, and His breath are upon us through them all. From our days of being knit in our mother's womb until our hair is gray or gone... He is with us in all seasons.
"I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you." -Isaiah 46:4
Today, I am grateful for the seasons.
