Loyalty

Daily Gratitude Year 13 - Day 299: Today, I am grateful for loyalty.

Loyalty matters in our relationships. No one is perfect. Loyalty often overlooks our imperfections and sees our quirks as endearing. Loyalty is a decision we make with intention. 

A dog is an amazing example of loyalty. They love us better than we deserve on many occasions. Their love is unconditional. They are not afraid to be uncomfortable to be near us. They wait at the window for our return. 

There are many animal species who mate for life and grieve deeply when a partner is lost. It is as beautiful as it is sad. 

 "Loyalty makes a person attractive. It is better to be poor than dishonest."  -Proverbs 19:22

Character counts. Loyalty is a beautiful character trait.  

Today, I am grateful for loyalty.
