Night and Day

Daily Gratitude Year 13 - Day 310: Today, I am grateful for night and day.

Og Mandino is one of my favorite authors. "The Greatest Salesman in the World," "The Greatest Miracle in the World," and "Mission Success" are my favorites, but I love them all. Choices, resilience, and positivity are strong themes.

He was a bombardier in WW2, flying 30 missions over Germany. Actor Jimmy Stewart was a fellow pilot. His experiences gave material for "Mission Success."

"I love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars." -Og Mandino

It is so true. We need both. From the Sun... and the Son... comes light and life. In the darkness, our human bodies restore for the new day and the stars delight us with their sparkle across the sky.

"God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day." -Genesis 1:5

Day and night each hold unique beauty. Nocturnal animals are fascinating, too. Built for the night life, they display some quirky abilities and skills by design to rule the night.

Walk in the sun. Delight in the dark. God said both are good.

Today, I am grateful for night and day.
