Daily Gratitude Year 13 - Day 133: Today, I am grateful for life goals.
This verse made me think "life goals."
What do you want to see in the mirror? These verses answer that question. They are packed full of the good stuff. Let's break it down.
She is clothed with strength and dignity. She does not need fashion instruction or to chase the latest trends. She knows her style and defines it. She does not see approval from others, but from the the God she loves and serves.
She laughs without fear of the future. She knows that death is a door and a heavenly destination. She knows that her Lord will provide her needs for this day. She need not fear the future. It has enough trouble without inventing things in her head that will probably never happen.
When she speaks means that sometimes she listens silently. She does not speak everything that runs through her head. She is intentional in her words and makes them count.
Her words are wise, because she knows the Word. Proverbs, Psalms, Job, Esther, the Gospels, and all of the letters are full of wisdom. They are written on her heart and she is rooted in them.
She gives instructions with kindness. She chooses kindness, not "I told you so." She does not hurry with instruction and is happy to repeat it and write it down. She writes in the margins of her Bible so her children and the next generation can know of her faith and her walk with the Lord.
Yes, lifegoals abound in those two verses. I have work to do.
Today, I am grateful for life goals.
