Counting Sprinklesnot

Daily Gratitude Year 13 - Day 181: Today, I am grateful for a reminder to be content.

"Don't let your ice cream melt while you're counting somebody else's sprinkles. -Akilah Hughes

Nothing is more precious than this day. Take it in and squeeze out the goodness.

Enjoy the fresh cold lemonade, iced tea, and/or the bowl of ice cream. Some people have the propensity to complain. It comes so naturally that it is evidence of practice. We can equally look at the good... by choice.

I call it "The Complain Train." You don't have to yell "All aboard!" People are happy to jump on. The sad thing is, it doesn't solve any problems and does not take you anywhere you really want to go.

Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. -Philippians 4:11

We enjoy the "sprinkles" in life, but we do not need them. Be content with the sprinkles you have and do not forget to share.

Today, I am grateful for a reminder to be content.
