Daily Gratitude Year 13 - Day 183: Today, I am grateful for open windows.
After about two weeks of high heat... and believe me when I say I am grateful for air conditioning that works... this morning we could open the windows and let the gentle breeze roll in. It is cool at 65 degrees and low humidity. The house needs fresh air and so do we.
There is nothing like a sweet, fresh, and cool breeze whispering "Good morning." It restores my soul. We will enjoy the "refresh" until the day begins to heat up.
My Randy gets the credit for today's gratitude. Some mornings it comes quickly and others take some time.
As for the scripture, Noah gives us a perfect example of the joy in opening the windows. Can you imagine the smell?
"Two and a half months later, as the waters continued to go down, other mountain peaks became visible. After another forty days, Noah opened the window he had made in the boat and released a raven. The bird flew back and forth until the floodwaters on the earth had dried up." -Genesis 8:5-7
Enjoy any "open window" moments you can through the hottest days of summer.
Today, I am grateful for open windows.
