Daily Gratitude Year 13 - Day 320: Today, I am grateful for prayers for guidance.
"I will pray for guidance." is the last scroll in Og Mandino's book "The Greatest Salesman in the World." It is a wonderful book to read before Christmas or Easter. It is about living well with a moral compass. It is not "religious" in nature, but it is full of truth. It will always be one of my favorite books.
Have you ever read directions that were too technical for you to understand? Most of us have. We can read and not understand many things. I love David's heart that desires to understand God's truth in this Psalm.
"Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions." Psalm 119:18
From the House of David would come the Messiah. I love reading Isaiah this time of year to capture the wonder of the prophecies made. Then, we jump to Matthew or Luke and watch them unfold in the form of a baby, a bride-to-be, and a man who walked with her to Bethlehem. Just because His truths and plans for us are good, it does not mean they always make sense as they are unfolding. Some days are hard. I am grateful we can pray for guidance.
Today, I am grateful for prayers for guidance.
