Daily Gratitude Year 13 - Day 321: Today, I am grateful for a little time in nature.
We were at the park yesterday with a purpose, but I was reminded of the beauty in this season... even as fall's beauty is almost spent. The sun was warm. The wind was minimal. The company was perfect. And, I cannot help but be reminded that we were intended to get outside.
"Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt. -John Muir
If you look a little closer, the beauty is not gone... it has simply changed. It is less showy and more humble. Little red berries on a bush once overshadowed by the maples, the elms, and the oaks, now add the color to the landscape.
"Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. " -Psalm 96:1-3
Where is nature showing off around you today? Look a little closer and you will see the wonder.
Today, I am grateful for a little time in nature.
