Dawn Dish Soap

Daily Gratitude Year 4- Day 232: Today, I am grateful for Dawn dish soap.

Every once in awhile, a "new product" comes along that really embeds itself into our way of life and our culture. Dawn Dish Soap is one of those products. The original blue soap that cleans everything from our dishes to wildlife caught in oil spills was introduced in 1973. It is still the best selling dish soap in the USA.

We have discovered many other uses from stubborn stain removal to repelling insects. I need to try the insect repelling properties on my hyacinth bean vine and at the next tiny ant war. Some say it works great in bug battles. Search uses for Dawn Dish soap and you will find 30 - 40 pop up quickly.

Dish soap...such an ordinary thing but it makes an extraordinary difference in our days. I wash quite a few dishes by hand. I would rather wash two plates and dry them than have to wait on a full dishwasher, take the time to run it and then have to empty the dishwasher. A dishwasher is great for the big meals or the many cups and glasses we use, but a quick dabble of Dawn and hot, hot water is a quick way to restock the cabinet with clean plates.

Please note...there is something special about the original blue version.

Earworm woke up singing "Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing, Baby". Really Earworm...Marvin Gaye first thing in the morning? Why not?

Sometimes, there is no substitute.

"Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life." -1 John 5:12

No substitute!

The original blue Dawn... and Jesus. The real thing, baby!

Quick and easy for end of a long week.

Today, I am grateful for Dawn dish soap... and Jesus.
