Daily Gratitude Year 10-Day 222: Today, I am grateful for reminders to take the straight path.
The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Most have heard that observation. It is true. Now, it isn't always the fastest route, but it is the shortest distance.
I love Proverbs. It is my "go to" for inspiration.
"Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted. These men turn from the right way to walk down dark paths." -Proverbs 2:12-13
Such great directions. Yes, wisdom can save us from bad decisions and the influence of twisted minds and values. It can be tempting to leave the straight path because it isn't the easiest.
One of the things I have been reminded of recently is the need to ride the struggle bus. In struggling with weights, people build muscles. In the challenges of learning new things, the learning sticks. Repetition and patience are great tools for the journey.
Press in and press on. The destination is worth the perspiration.
Today, I am grateful for reminders to take the straight path.
