The reminder of that Holy Night, so very long ago. The song, "Oh Holy Night" is a favorite for many. For me, I have been slow to appreciate it. I am not sure why.
Lately, the lyrics have grabbed my heart. I think it is the line that says "the weary soul rejoices... fall on your knees... oh, hear the angels..." The image the song creates is powerful.
Yes, I am late to the table on appreciating that song, but not to the stable. We have so much to celebrate. The Child on a mission has arrived! We celebrate the end of the wait. We celebrate hope.
"For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." -Isaiah 9:6
Today, I am grateful "A Child is Born."
