On our recent trip with Matt and Jennifer, we had the chance to snorkel with the sea turtles, tropical fish, and huge starfish. The sea can be moody... and it can be magical.
Christmas Cove is on Greater St. James Island in the US Virgin Islands. Apparently, it is a place you will nearly always find sea turtles. A little shipwreck provides a sanctuary for some of the tropical fish that nearly glow, but the sea turtles steal the show.
They move with a gentle grace. They are curious. Watching them is relaxing.
Sometimes, I am amazed at the variety of creatures God designed. Sea turtles are delightful.
"You are the Lord, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you." -Nehemiah 9:6
Today, I am grateful for sea turtles.
