Daily Gratitude Year 13 - Day 259: Today, I am grateful for Selah.
"Selah"
Selah is the space between prayer and answer,
between grief and healing,
Between surrender and revelation.
It's not an empty space;
It's sacred stillness.
It's the kind of posture
where your soul leans in to hear God's whisper.
It says:
I will breathe even in the uncertainty.
I will worship before I see the outcome.
I will trust the stillness is not silence but sanctification.
(unknown author)
The word, Selah, is a bit of a mystery word. It is found most often in the Psalms, typically with a note "to the Choirmaster."
Some believe it means to "pause and reflect." Either is good.
This scripture is a nice compliment:
"In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly." Psalm 5:3
Today, I am grateful for Selah.
