Know That No One is Silent Though Many Are Not Heard-
Work To Change This  -Karen Kerney watercolor, text from Syracuse Cultural Workers

As anticipation builds for our little Pumpkin Festival, the sense of community explodes. So many are hands on in helping make it a great community event. The pumpkin stink is full (if you know,  you know) but so are our hearts.

This week we will see Morton/Groveland at its best. Hands on helping, meeting new neighbors, and enjoying family/work family time together serving, celebrating, and of course... indulging in pumpkin treats, sweet treats, fair foods,  and my personal favorite... apple cider slushies.

Building community is intentional. My friend Stephanie Brown says "Be where your feet are." Love where you are, too.

"Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.’” -Matthew 19:19

Today, I am grateful for community.
