Wise instruction helps us get through hard things and difficult seasons. We were never promised the journey here would be fair or easy. It is wise to heed good instruction and to be situationally aware. Survival lessons help us know how to manage when tough times come.
This passage grabs my attention:
“Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves." -Matthew 10:16 NLT
Be shrewd and gentle. They seem as if they do not go together... but they do. They compliment each other well. Safety is increased when we consider the dangers and are aware of the wolves.
Today, I am grateful for survival lessons.
