Meaning from Chaos

Daily Gratitude Year Eleven- Day 49: Today, I am grateful He can bring meaning from chaos.

I like order much better than chaos. Most of us do. No one expects this life to be perfect, but there are times the crazy feels out of control.

Being able to trust a God who is bigger than the chaos is a place where we can find peace and rest.

This Psalm offers some simple reassurance.

"The wicked are stringing their bows and fitting their arrows on the bowstrings. They shoot from the shadows at those whose hearts are right. The foundations of law and order have collapsed. What can the righteous do?” But the Lord is in his holy Temple; the Lord still rules from heaven. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth." -Psalm 11:2-4

He is not absent from the chaos. He watches. He waits. He examines. He moves. He loves. He longs for restoration. Sometimes, our vantage point makes understanding impossible. We don't see what He sees or know what He knows. Faith really does come down to "being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. " He makes all things beautiful in His time.

Today, I am grateful He can bring meaning from chaos.
