Daily Gratitude Year 13 - Day 314: Today, I am grateful that working together is better.
It is true. At work, at home, at church, and in the community. On our own, we can only do so much. Together, we can make a difference.
One of our congregational members is in Asheville, NC, leading a crew with Mennonite Disaster Services. Once the news stories stop is when the true rebuilding begins. The needs are many.
Our MHS Marching band gave a spectacular show on Saturday for the community. Beyond the exceptional talent of the band and directors, it is a community of parents and supporters that make sure they have everything they need to give their best performance possible.
The local food banks and churches are busy finding ways to feed the hungry and clothe the poor.
Heading off to an ordinary work week... even in the daily grind of the ordinary... we are better together.
"Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble." Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Today, I am grateful that working together is better.
