Compassion At Home

Year Four-Day 261: Today, I am grateful for the compassion right here at home.
Our Morton Marching Band is known nationwide their creativity and excellence at the high school level. They have performed for presidents and for trophies and recognition. Yes, they are impressive.
Still, this video tells the story of what truly makes them great.
Jesus said "that which you do to the least of these, you do also unto me".
This gift of performance to one of the youngest members of the marching band and her family will never ever be forgotten. It will be a memory that will bring comfort and smiles on hard days.
Today, they will march for the crowds. But, few performances will be as memorable as the one they gave for a Dad, a Mom and a band sister.
Music makes a difference. Community is more than a word we use in conversation. Even in tough times... "Love always wins!"
