I love Leigh Standley's art. She uses my favorite colors, words, wit, and whimsy in her creations. The sprinkle of sassy makes me laugh. Her art is a constant reminder that life and love do not have to be perfect to be good.
Today, we celebrate eight years of having a daughter to love in our family. In January, we welcomed another. We are grateful for these love stories that are woven into our family tree.
True love is a daily decision to love an imperfect person completely, and for them to return that same intentional, unwavering love in return.
Enduring love stories appear to shine, and they do... but there is an element of reflection that makes all the difference. Pouring out can be exhausting. We all need a recharge at times. Love stories that work reflect love through simple acts of kindness, thoughtfulness, helpfulness, grace, forgiveness, humility, and intentionality.
Some of the sweetest love stories begin as friendships. Other love stories sprout from seeds planted in the cracks of a broken heart. However they begin, each one is unique.
