You know how it is when old friends, good friends and favorite friends get together. The time slips by so quickly. It was the same for the early church. They faced persecution. They understood that sharing the gospel could prove risky. Still, they could not contain the joy of what they had seen and knew was true.
"On the first day of the week, we gathered with the local believers to share in the Lord’s Supper. Paul was preaching to them, and since he was leaving the next day, he kept talking until midnight." -Acts 20:7
This passage captures the excitement and the energy of the season. They did not want to waste a minute.
Today, I am grateful we can make the most of every minute.
