Every Piece of Armor

Daily Gratitude Year Eleven- Day 27: Today, I am grateful for every piece of armor.

If you have ever had a child play any contact sport, you are very grateful for every piece of armor. It's rough out there on the playing field. Batting helmets, baseball mitts, soccer shin guards, football helmets, and pads. The list could go on and on. There are many ways athletes protect themselves.

When someone is battling cancer, they gear up for the fight. The mediport makes it easier to give treatments. There are other tips and tricks they learn along the way that help them gear up for each treatment or procedure.

When a fireman or police officer goes into the danger zone, they put on every piece of armor they have available. They never know what they will encounter, so they go in prepared.

The right piece of armor at the right time can save lives. This was my verse of the day:

"For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm." -Ephesians 6:12-13

His armor will not fail. Be prepared! Be intentional when you armor up.

Today, I am grateful for every piece of armor.
