Do you know someone that seems unflappable? It appears they don't have a care in the world. Looks can be deceiving.
What is there about worry that sucks the joy and energy right out of us? Worry is exhausting. Jesus said this:
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. -Matthew 6:34
Seriously, this is a tough one. To let go of the worry is to fully trust "The One" who will see us through every trial. Worrying is a lack of trust. Trust and faith please our Lord. Yes, trust and worry are not compatible. I am slow to learn at times.
Don't buy tomorrow's troubles. They may never arrive. Fretting is not freeing. We were designed for freedom... the freedom that comes when we fully embrace what He provides.
To quote Elsa from "Frozen": "Let it go!"
Today, I am grateful today's worry is enough.
