Daily Gratitude Year 13 - Day 275: Today, I am grateful for the hope in the struggle.
"Some of you are depressed by your struggle with sin. Consider this: The very fact that you have a struggle is evidence the Holy Spirit is motivating you to resist. The world has no struggle, they just indulge. But you have a fight because the Spirit of God is still working on you." -unknown
Wow. Read it again. I love this. If our struggles with sin still bring shame and unrest in our hearts...send up a hallelujah! God is holy. His holy nature repels sin like oil repels water. They separate when mixed.
The struggle means the battle is not lost... in fact... it may just be heating up. Own it. Name it. Keep fighting, but remember that we are not alone. The Lord fights for us and with us.
"You shall not fear them, for it is the Lord your God who fights for you."-Deuteronomy 3:22
That is as good as it gets. We are not alone in our struggles. He is with us in our struggles, our battles, and in the messes we make ourselves. He longs for a righted relationship, just as our souls long to be near Him and with Him.
Celebrate the hope in the struggle. He fights for us and with us.
Today, I am grateful for the hope in the struggle.
