Hummingbirds

 

Daily Gratitude Year 10-Day 247: Today, I am grateful for hummingbirds.

They are such miraculous little creatures. They are like a combination of bird and insect like qualities. They can hang suspended in one place while their wings flap so fast all we can see is a blur of movement. It allows them to pause in place to drink the sweet nectar from a flower.

We have a a couple that stop by our pond and flowers. They are always a surprise. We can’t really predict when they will visit. I can’t help but pause and watch them. They are a source of wonder.

Jesus told us to “consider the lilies of the fields and the birds.” They don’t don’t worry or fret. They trust His design and His provision.

Today, I am grateful for Hummingbirds.
