"I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths." -Proverbs 4:11
I am a fan of straight paths. They are typically the fastest route. It is interesting that this Proverb connects wisdom and straight paths. A straight path and comfortable shoes are a great combination.
A straight path has fewer surprises. Do we get bored and long for more? Do we simply savor and enjoy when the path is clear, straight and not uphill? Do we wander off from the straight path looking for adventure?
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." -Proverbs 3:5-6
Our own understanding gets us into trouble. When we look to Him and lean into His lead, He makes our paths straight. Such a great promise.
Today, I am grateful for straight paths.
