We, as humans, grow weary and tired. We have days we can take on the world and days we are tired. There are moments when we bump up against exhaustion and that is often where we feel most vulnerable and fragile.
There is good news for the weary. Our God has unfailing strength. He is ready to cover us with his wings.
"If you wake up feeling fragile, remember God is not, and then trust him to be everything you need today." -John Piper
Why do I fight to carry my own baggage when His arms are tireless? We often make things harder than they have to be by our stubbornness. At least, I do.
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." -1 Peter 5:7
He cares for you. What joy that brings to our souls!
We are not exempt from heavy loads on this earth, but we have a Redeemer whose strength never fails us, but we have to give up the burden.
Today, I am grateful our God is not fragile.
