Prayer lightens our souls. It really does. Think of the bird spreading its wings to take flight. Consider the sail that captures the wind and moves the big ships across the waters. That is what prayer does for our souls.
It is not a chore. It is not something we have to do. It is something we crave. It lightens our load and carries our troubles to the throne of His grace and mercy.
Today, I am grateful for prayer.
