Many Hands Make Light Work

Daily Gratitude Year Eleven- Day 77: Today, I am grateful many hands make light work.

Today was the 65th Annual Mennonite Relief Sale.

One of the things the Relief Sale is known for are the many lovely quilts. Some are still made by sewing circles in churches across the Midwest. I love taking artsy pictures of their handiwork.

The sale is a result of many hands coming together, each person embracing their role and doing what they can do. It really is a special event.

The money raised goes to fund missions. Many of the missions supported by the Relief Sale provide the most practical of human needs. Some resources help locally and across the nation. Others will go to far away places.

The volunteers come from many communities and many denominations are represented. Together, they work with a common purpose.

"The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work." -1 Corinthians 3:8

It is always a special event.

Today, I am grateful many hands make light work.
