These early days of Spring bring the animals out to play. Our fur baby, Daisy Mae, has a squirrel friend I call Nemesis. When I arrived home today, Nemesis was on the fence, and had a friend.
The squirrels would chatter at Daisy Mae and then Daisy would head toward the fence, which made Nemesis and friend take to a tree and higher ground. It was fun to watch them play. It is all about the game. No one expects to win. It is all about the chase and the fun.
It is so easy to get caught up in the daily "to do" lists. Anxiety builds. We forget to play.
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." -1 Peter 5:7
What a great prescription. Then watch the animals at play. It is guaranteed to add joy to your day.
Today, I am grateful for animals at play.
