Daily Gratitude Year Eleven- Day 98: Today, I am grateful He was "just getting started."
"Jesus didn't say, 'I am finished.' He said, 'It is finished.' He was just getting started. "
I love that thought. (Thanks for sharing it Linda Landell Sneed.) It has been with me all day long. So many worship songs this morning pointed to the fact He is alive, with us, and just getting started, including "Let me tell you 'bout my Jesus!"
The paradox is that in surrendering to the work of the cross and making Jesus the Lord of our lives is where joy and freedom are found. In that relationship, we can fully live. Fearless. Unbound. And, with courage. "Let me tell you 'bout my Jesus!"
He is risen, indeed. But that is only a piece of history, until we invite His peace into all the days of our lives. He makes a way. He is bigger than any circumstance we face.
He never abandons His beloved ones. Because He is risen, we can rise up knowing the victory is already won.
Today, I am grateful He was "just getting started."
