Mine

 

Daily Gratitude Year 12 - Day 239: Today, I am grateful to be called "mine." 

Belonging. The soul longs for it. 

Our human nature pushes back at times. Many times we want things our own way. There are times he allows us to have what we want, but we find an emptiness there. Our souls crave a relationship with our Heavenly Father like our human bodies need air. 

He is the breath in our lungs and our souls rejoice in the wonder of His ways. He makes all things beautiful, in His time. 

Relax. Trust. Wait. Fear not. He does not leave us orphans. 

But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. -Isaiah 43:1

Today, I am grateful to be called "mine."
