Sometimes, we can't make it better. Some situations require us to be long-suffering. In those seasons, we have choices. We cannot always change the situation, but we can choose how we respond.
Comfort is never to be underestimated. Grief shared is a grief divided.
"... weep with those who weep." -Romans 12:15
There is something unforgettable about those who walk with us in the hard seasons where comfort is rare and the trials are deep and wide.
This passage points to "The God of all Comfort."
"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us." -2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NLT
To be able to give the same comfort God has given us. Never underestimate the power of compassion and a warm embrace.
Today, I am grateful for comfort.
