If we live in Christ, we should not struggle to love one another. It should flow from the source... Him... to us and through us.
"And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows." 1 Thessalonians 3:12
Still, we are human and have not yet mastered "perfect love." Some days we hit the mark. Other days, we fail miserably. At least, I do.
I love the lesson in this verse. It is one that is easy to miss.
We can try and make ourselves more loving, but in time, we fail. We get tired. We get worn out. We forget to keep our focus on The One who is the source of love.
He "makes us" increase and abound. When we rest in Him, he does the rest.
Today, I am grateful we can increase and abound in love.
