This image caused me to pause and ponder something I have intellectually known for years, but never put together.
While our grandmothers carried our mothers in their wombs, we were the tiniest of eggs in our mother's ovaries. The three of us were together. Grandma carried Mama and we were the tiniest eggs in our mother's ovaries. Talk about tiny science! Is it any wonder that Grandmothers and Granddaughters feel a special connection?
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb." -Psalm 139:13
Today, I am grateful Grandma for connections.
