There are so many things that can be said about this day we remember the terrorist attacks on our country. Planes became weapons. First responders and ordinary people became heroes... some making the ultimate sacrifice.
"There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." -John 15:13
We establish days like Patriot Day so we remember to pause and give thanks for those who gave all. In a season when it is easy to become discouraged with the politics that surround us, it is good to remember that were are a nation of the people... for the people and by the people... and under God.
One of my favorite Ronald Reagan quotes comes to mind.
“If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be one nation gone under.” - Ronald Reagan
Today, I am grateful for Patriot Day.
