Daily Gratitude Year Eleven-Day 266- Today, I am grateful for no moment wasted.
"No barefooted, tree climbing, frog holding, mud pie baking, cloud spotting, puddle stomping, bird calling, wild foraging, moon gazing, firefly chasing, fort building, creek following, rock hunting moment with mother nature is ever wasted." -Nicolette Sowder
It is that time of year. When even those more inclined to stay inside find themselves called to the great outdoors. Bonfires, wieners roasts, football games, and visits to local orchards find us enjoying the great outdoors.
We have a local park that is absolutely magical when the leaves begin to turn. I have taken pictures there often over the years. I love it when the colored leaves ultimately let go and float to the ground.
Glimpses of the wildlife preparing for winter remind me that it is a season of preparations. But, it is not all work and no play, even for the busy squirrels. They romp, chatter, and fly through the trees.
“Just ask the animals, and they will teach you. Ask the birds of the sky, and they will tell you. Speak to the earth, and it will instruct you. Let the fish in the sea speak to you... For the life of every living thing is in his hand, and the breath of every human being." -Job 12:7-8 & 10
Celebrate the beauty of the season! Delight in nature's reminders to worship The One who gave us this beautiful season.
Today, I am grateful for no moment wasted.
