May there be one moment in this holiday season when you're reminded what it's really all about.
It is that moment in a Charlie Brown Christmas when Linus drops his blanket and quotes from Luke 2 that captures the heart of what Christmas is really about.
"And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." -Luke 2:9-11
There is no reason to fear. Rejoice in the knowledge that the promised Savior came, conquered death, and is coming back. Let our celebrations find quiet moments to reflect on the joy that comes when we find our way back to the manger.
Listen for angels. Look for His star. Be still and know He is God.
