We are one week from Christmas. This year has flown by so quickly. It is true that time goes faster as we get older. As I reflect, I can sometimes see God's hand clearly. Other years, I have no clue, I know to trust His heart. He is the puzzle master. His desire is that we may seek and know the truth and find freedom and hope.
This scripture captures some of the wonder:
"Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has visited and redeemed his people. He has sent us a mighty Savior from the royal line of his servant David, just as he promised through his holy prophets long ago." -Luke 1:68-70
From Luke's perspective, there is the promise, the prophecies fulfilled, and the hope of things yet to come. In the crazy days of the season, the wonder can be lost. God's timing is impeccable. He never shows up late. Sometimes we have to wait.
His timing is better than ours.
Today, I am grateful for God's timing.
