We have not yet succumbed to the air conditioning. I am savoring the nice breeze coming in the windows. I love fresh air. I know that too soon, the windows will be closed for days at a time.
A gentle breeze often makes me think of the Holy Spirit. Dad always used to say "the Holy Spirit is a gentleman who would not force himself on anyone." I think Dad was right.
The Spirit is like a best friend who is always near to gently teach, remind, and comfort. We need Him like Linus needed his blanket in the Peanuts cartoon.
"But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you." -John 14:26
Savor the breeze and delight in His Spirit.
Today, I am grateful for a nice breeze.
