"So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing." -1 Thessalonians 5:11
This world is full of people hoping to make themselves feel bigger and more important by putting other people down. It is how they attempt to raise themselves up. Honestly, it seldom works.
In fact, in our attempts to build up another human, they somehow take us along for the journey.
Encouragement doesn't usually cost us anything. The impact can resonate far beyond what we can see, like the ripples when you drop a stone in a lake.
Today, I am grateful for words of encouragement.
