November

Daily Gratitude Year Eleven-Day 318- Today, I am grateful for November.

How do you sum up November in the Midwest? This snippet of poetry says it perfectly:

"It was November- the month of crimson sunsets, parting birds, deep sad hymns of the sea, passionate wind-songs in the pines."-Lucy Maud Montgomery

Instead of mourning the fallen leaves, celebrate the sunsets and the changing of the guard. The cicadas are silent. The geese gather. The wind in the branches creates a lullaby for those who listen. Don't miss the moments in November worth savoring.

We move so quickly through our days. We are constantly focusing on the next big thing. Why do we do that? We miss the magic in the ordinary moments. We miss seeing the hand of God in the tiny little miracles.

“Be still, and know that I am God!" -Psalm 46:10

Be still. Life moves too fast.
Know. Without a doubt!
That, He is God.

When November is upon us, we cannot help but marvel at the majesty of it all.

Today, I am grateful for November.
