This one made me giggle. I think my soul needed it, and I thought yours might, too.
Think about the last time you received a complimentary cup of coffee. In "The Big Bang Theory" they all worked hard to teach Sheldon that most people appreciated being offered a warm beverage if they were sad, sick, or having a rough day. Sheldon's computer-like mind struggled with it, because there was no logical connection. The head and the heart are programmed differently.
I love coffee... cacao, hot cocoa, herbal hot teas, spiced teas, wassail, and most warm beverages. Mine never give me compliments like in the image, but they do satisfy a need.
This verse speaks of comfort and a cup that overflows with blessings.
You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. -Psalm 23:5
Savor the next complimentary cup of goodness you receive. Let it speak to your need. Comfort, thirst, or the gift of a warm welcome.
