Daily Gratitude Year 12 - Day 41: Today, I am grateful for multi-generational gatherings.
One of the things I loved about growing up with a big, extended family nearby was the gathering together for no particular reason. It happened most Sundays at my grandparent's home. We grew up knowing our cousins. They were our first best friends outside of our siblings.
Multi-generational relationships bring a richness to our lives. I always learn something new from the younger ones and those who are older, too. We are called to fellowship with each other because it is good for our souls.
"For he issued his laws to Jacob; he gave his instructions to Israel.
He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, so the next generation might know them— even the children not yet born— and they in turn will teach their own children.
So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles
and obeying his commands." -Psalm 78:5-7

Savor the moments. Delight in the laughter. Collect the memories.
Today, I am grateful for multigenerational gatherings.
