It is a beautiful and accurate description of September.
Look behind you, and you can see the remnants of summer days.
Look ahead, and you can see Autumn is ready to unleash nature's paintbrush on the leaves of the trees. We know it is coming... but we are not quite there.
Soon there will be bonfires, sweatshirts, hayrides, and flannel... but we are not quite there.
Savor September. It is fleeting, but it is sweet.
"Then God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years." -Genesis 1:14
There are signs as we continue to mark the seasons, the days, and the years. September is a beautiful doorway... may it linger a little longer.
Today, I am grateful for beautiful doorways.
