C.H. Spurgeon hits the nail on the head with that observation.
"And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God." -Romans 8:27
He knows our hearts and our minds. He knows our dreams and our desires. Nothing is hidden from His sight. With spiritual maturity comes the ability to better control our tongues. We are not perfect, but we improve.
What about those crazy thoughts that seem to come out of nowhere? The enemy of our souls whispers bad ideas. He has not yet been locked away. He grows more nervous as time marches on.
Today, I am grateful for the humbling reminder that our thoughts are speech before God.
