I don't think we can worry and pray at the same time. Prayer is not a shopping list we give God to tell him what we want. Prayer is an opportunity to come into relationship with the God of the Universe. That He tells us that he hears our prayers. He listens and leans into our trials and our joys.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. -Philippians 4:6 NLT
Bring Him your trials and bring him your tears. Talk to him like a best friend, and laugh with Him, too. He wants to hear about everything! Yes, everything.
The One who granted each of us our soul breath knows the number of the stars in the sky, the number of hairs on our heads, and the number of times our hearts will beat. He is an awesome God, but he wants to be in relationship with us. How can we not find time to answer His invitation?
Today, I am grateful for the instruction to pray about everything.
