If the 10 Commandments and Golden Rule help us align our moral compass, Proverbs 31 sets the bar for being a woman. This passage is rich in wisdom and direction. It is full of encouragement while providing examples of womanhood in step with our God.
In the image, The Living Bible is the translation. I really liked that version. The NLT is good, too, but something about the way it frames "kindness" as the "rule" for everything she says hits home with me.
"When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness." - Proverbs 31:26 (NLT)
None of us is perfect, but we can keep trying. Practicing these instructions daily helps to make them a natural response.
Today, I am grateful for Proverbs 31.
